Before you book

Everything people ask me before their first session. If yours isn't here, just message me and ask.

Deciding

I don't know which one to book. Help.

Book Sports Therapy if you have a specific thing that hurts and you want it figured out. Book Deep Tissue if you are tight, stressed, beat up from training, and you want to be worked on.

If you pick wrong it is not a problem. I can tell in the first ten minutes, and we just change what we do. Same room, same hands, same price.

Are you a physical therapist?

No. I am a licensed massage therapist. I do not diagnose conditions and I do not prescribe treatment.

What I do is use the same movement assessment frameworks a good PT uses to build a working theory about why you hurt, and then treat with my hands. If something needs a doctor, I will tell you that instead of taking your money.

Are you taking new clients?

Yes.

How far ahead do I need to book?

I usually have openings the same week, and often the same day. Reach out and I will tell you what is actually open rather than making you guess from a calendar.

How do I book?

Appointment only, three ways: book directly through the site, message me on Instagram, or send me an email. All three land with me.

Your first visit

Do I need a gym membership to see you?

No. I work inside House of Gainz, but you do not need to be a member and nobody is going to stop you at the door.

Where do I park, and where do I go?

Plenty of parking right outside the gym. Come in the main entrance and my room is on your left. If you get turned around, the front desk will point you at me.

What do I wear?

Deep Tissue: whatever you are comfortable in, or nothing at all. You stay draped the whole session and only the area I am working on is uncovered. Standard massage draping, nothing surprising.

Sports Therapy: shorts or briefs, and a sports bra if that applies. No sheets, because I need to see you move and be able to move you. Think of it like showing up to train.

How much is it going to hurt?

Deep Tissue goes deep, but the goal is that you float out, not that you limp. Sports Therapy can get intense, because sometimes the useful spot is not a comfortable one.

Either way you are in charge of the dial. Tell me to back off and I back off. Pressure you are bracing against is not doing anything for you.

Will I be sore afterwards?

Some soreness is normal if you are not used to deep pressure. But you should always leave feeling better than you came in, and the soreness fades as you get consistent.

Mostly: listen to your body. It knows more than either of us.

Money

How does the package time work?

Packages are hours, not visits. An 8 hour package is 8 hours of table time to spend however you want. Do a 90 minute session and you have 6.5 hours left.

The hours work for either service. You are not locked into the one you started with.

Do the packages expire?

The 8 hour package runs 12 months. The 16 hour package runs 18 months. Both start from the day you buy.

Can I share a package with my partner?

Yes, with a spouse or partner. I just need to know up front so we can agree on it and I can keep track of whose hours are whose.

What does the membership actually get me?

$155 a month gets you an hour of table time each month. Extra hours that month are $140 instead of the single session rate.

If you miss a month, up to 3 hours roll over, so a busy stretch does not cost you anything. It is built for people who want to stay ahead of their stuff instead of waiting until it hurts again.

How do I cancel the membership?

It renews on the first of the month. To cancel, send me anything in writing. A text, an email, a DM, all fine.

Cancellation takes 14 days to process, so give yourself that runway ahead of a renewal date.

How do I pay?

Card through the booking system, or cash.

HSA and FSA cards work too, as long as your plan covers massage therapy. Most do, but check with your provider if you are not sure.

Do you take insurance?

No. Forge Therapy is cash based, which is exactly why you get a full unhurried hour instead of fifteen minutes and a handoff.

Should I tip?

Tipping is not necessary. I set my rates where I am happy with them so you never have to do math at the end of a massage. If you want to, that is your call, but nobody here is angling for it.

Are the tools extra?

No. Cups, blades, hot towels, ashiatsu, aromatherapy, all of it is included in the hour. I use whatever the tissue is asking for that day and there is no add-on menu.

Scheduling and policies

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hours notice. Inside that window, a non-emergency cancellation or a no-show gets charged the full session price.

Emergencies are emergencies. Tell me what happened and we will figure it out like adults.

What if I'm running late?

There is a ten minute turnaround between clients, so I can hold about five minutes before it starts eating into your table time. Past that, we work with what is left of your slot.

If nobody is booked after you, you get the time back anyway. I am not going to nickel and dime you over traffic.

Do you come to me?

Yes. In-home is $200 an hour with a 90 minute minimum, by request only so I can line it up with my schedule. The intro rate does not apply to in-home.

Get in touch and we will sort out a time.
